Picked up a Wii U store display unit @ a yard sale, anyone know how to take it out of demo mode ?

Picked up a Wii U store display unit @ a yard sale (Along w/ a GC and harvest moon for $110!), and am looking for any info on how to get it to play as a regular Wii U. I couldn't get it to go into settings from doing the old Tv - Home Button trick, but did get it into settings once from putting a blank SD card in, but could not duplicate that success.

The Wii U auto boots after the main power is plugged in. I tried putting a blank USB stick in to see if I would get the option to format, but nope. I'm not too sure why the blank SD card trick didn't work again, but I'll keep plugging away.

That thing is awesome! I wish I found things like that at yard sales instead of stained couches!
