Thanks for the update but one of the main guys behind this game has his own post all about it in the Dev section of the board Yakumo
ah nice to know i searched for it but i didnt find it, do you have the link yakumo? thanks in advance :icon_bigg
Thx for the news I'm the engine programmer for this project (its probably me who yakumo referred to) If you are interested by the project, don't hesitate to register the board (to receive news time to time) http://www.piersolar.com/board/ If you are any question! Héhé!
Yes, it was Fonzie I was talking about . Nice to see that you have an official page up now as well  Yakumo
Looks great so far. One question that I hope you won't find rude Fonz - is the team going to get a native English speaker to check through the dialogue to make sure it is up to scratch? And please don't make it 'hip' - I hate it when an RPG is translated and it sounds like a bunch of teens in the mall trying to out cool each other! You know what I'm talkin' about dawg!
Everyone's been working really hard on the dialogue and we're proofreading it extensively. Plus I'm a native English speaker, and I've been helping gloss over it. No worries about an ebonics-laden RPG either. Screens and other stuff can be found on the website: http://www.piersolar.com
http://www.piersolar.com !!! Its here! You can touch it ! I'll quote a message from tulio, as it sum quite good the news Enjoy!
Hey all, just thought I'd give this thread an update as I haven't been here in forever. Pier Solar's development is coming along swimmingly and after an unfortunate delay we're back on track. The website's been redesigned and we've started weekly updates (every Tuesday!) to keep everyone informed on our progress. Also if you stop by this coming Tuesday, you'll have a chance to win a free copy. Thanks for your support all! www.piersolar.com
It's looking very impressive. Graphically great, the sound on the demo was good and it looks like the sort of game I'd really enjoy. As for the English, well there was the odd grammatical and spelling error on the demo. That said, if you want it to look like a Japanese RPG translated into English, then it is spot on for what you'd expect from a Japanese studio! ;-) Losing members of the team can be a big blow. I'm glad you managed to resolve the issue, and look forward to the game's release!
Thanks for the kind words! The text in the demo was written by a non-native speaker and was constructed fairly quickly, the current script has changed significantly and is in its second draft. All the little grammatical quirks will be fixed by the time of the game's release. In the meantime, check out our most recent update for your chance to win a free copy of Pier Solar! www.piersolar.com
This looks like it will be a good game. I have linked to your site on a few different forums I use...Hopefully it will drum up some more interest. Good luck with the project.
