Got mine today, great luck it arrived on a Saturday. Played for a couple of hours now. I think this is the first rpg I have ever seriously played on megadrive. Played loads on snes, playstation, dc and gb, but never on megadrive. I went for the posterity package and I have to say they have done a fine job of the whole thing. Well worth the wait. The only problem was that my house number was printed off the edge of the postage label. Then a small Chinese sticker was placed almost completely over my name.
Great you got it I answered every enquiries made on the website, if anyone didn't get his answer, check your spam folder first (deep search) then get back to me There are still few games stuck in customs, but that is just a matter of days before they all get received, thanks for your patience. See ya! Fonzie
Still only a few hours in to my game, Looking forward to having more time to play at the weekend. I am sure people here have seen the game and packaging, but I put some photos on my site. http://www.8bitplus.co.uk/articles/pier-solar/
Thx for posting the first impressions I've added you to the "they talk about it" page of the website. Can't wait to see your final feedback after completing the game ++ Fonz
The packing on this game is amazingly good much better than many official releases. Actually, I can't think of any Mega Drive game that had such good packing. I still want the japanese style version though. Will any more be made? Yakumo
Thanks for the feedback. No, the original edition wont be produced again, sorry. But I would be patient and wait a few more month, I think the price on ebay will go down to something reasonable then
My guess would be no because of the size of the game and even if it might work on the everdrive, I doubt anyone is going to dump that rom anytime soon. Its 64mb right? -Disjaukifa
I waiting my pier solar.:mario: he come in 2 week :banghead: i'll make a backup of pier solar white my retroderay: but i think you are right.... :-(
Reprint edition is back up for re-ordering. I think they've just opened ordered within the last 2 days so I'd grab one quick if you want one.
Jumped on this reprint. Can't imagine it devaluing anytime soon and the game looks pretty damn entertaining.
I'm starting a MD collection, would like a PAL version but this will have to do for now. I can't imagine them doing many more runs unless they're making a tidy profit so it could be a case of now for $45 or eBay later for $100's. It does look like a good game to play. I wonder if it's possible to order more than one?
the gameplay is great but the depth and surround of the audio using the sega CD is the most mind blowing to me
At $45 I'm not really sure how large of a profit margin they have on a per cart basis. Taking into account how much time and energy was put into making the game in the first place as well. I'd have to guess at least $5 minimum and probably more towards the $15-25 range. One thing to have a labor of love, another thing to draw out a labor of love beyond the release of a ROM if it only nets you $1 a pop. Though I'd imagine with each additional reprint the eBay prices will drop. And of course the inevitable ROM dump will bring prices down further but given it's status as unique in so many ways it will continue to be a collector's item for many years.
