Found this while looking up Nintendo 64 in google images. Apparently its Funtastic Prototype that didn't pass, but that's only information I could gather from this german wiki page. Oh also it was an eBay auction too.

Reminds me of the Hello Kitty DC. :)

I'd imagine a lot of other prototype colors probably exist that we don't know about. I guess they figured such a girl centric color wouldn't sell with the N64.

Possibly yellow is another colour when you think about it...

That's actually quite cool. I though the pink PS2 slim was rather awesome too.... :redface-new:

I don't know if I remember correctly, but.. I think I saw an extreme green/ white N64-console too at the time the above mentioned console was up for sale..

The thing I don't understand, is why they used (obviously) white base for the prototype(s).. The Extreme green was also white base from what I can remember, which makes it strange..

There'e one PAL N64 which has white base; the blue/ white, and there's 2 in Japan, blue/ white and red/ white (I don't know about US), so I guess, maybe this/ these console(s) indeed is not prototypes for funtastic, but rather prototype colors for the white base consoles, that have nothing to do with the funtastic series..

The white base I believe is the funtatstic for the Japanese releases. Yes Blue/White did get released in the Australia and Japan except it was called Ice Blue not Clear Blue.
We did get a Jungle green but not Extreme Green.

I totally forgot the Jusco-console.. Clear grey w/ white base

    So, Japan got at least 3 consoles with white base;

    Clear blue:

    Clear red:

    Jusco:

All pictures found on the net :D

I guess that the clear pink/ white console is JAP too.. NTSC-j, so it must have been a prototype color, but I still don't think it's a funtastic prototype.. Never seen a funtastic colored console with white base, not even japanese consoles..

What about the console that's on top of the clear pink/ white console on this picture? I think it's the extreme green I mentioned:

But I don't know, it's just my own thoughts around this interesting color.. And in the wiki-page it says that there are 5 other prototype colors (maybe more, who knows), and one of those may be the extreme green..

Well, I hope someone else knows more, I'm really curious too :)

Clear red looks more pink to me than any other colour... I own the clear "red" one, it's a very nice console though.

I've owned 2 versons of clear blue N64, both PAL..

    1. Clear blue - Ice blue (European funtastic I think)

    2. Clear blue w/ white base (This is, according to you the PAL version of a japanese funtastic..?)
Couldn't find a picture of this, but the blue is nearly the same color as the ice one there.. And then there is this white base..

I think, as the Jusco-console was a special order for a store, we can rule that out as one of the white base consoles (it is indeed white base for it, but it's not a color by Nintendo, that grey-ish thing.. Or is it?), or maybe just keep it on the list if it is a part of the white base-funtastic-japanese line, I don't know..

When ever I hear the term "clear, coloured 64" it's just funtastic, even though it's not labelled on the Japanese versions so be it.
Any how, there is a PAL Blue and White nintendo 64, it was bundled with Super Mario 64, extremely rare and I've only come across one with a price tag of $500.

It's not rare at all. I had one years ago, bought and sold it for a mere 30 bucks... maybe it was just expensive because it had not been released in Australia?

I think he was talking specifically PAL versions being rarer - even still, they seem easy enough to get. (in the UK at least)

Maybe the Super Mario PAL Blue/White is rare in box... but I'm not talking about the Japanese Blue/White I own one of those.
