I started up a website a bit ago that I'm hoping will become a good database/gallery of all the pirates that exist out there on consoles. http://piratedgamemuseum.wikia.com/wiki/Pirated_Game_Museum_Wiki At the moment there's been majorly Famicom pirates, but I'm trying to do all systems ;-) I've already uploaded around 800 pictures by myself and it's getting more and more difficult to find new stuff. I don't know if people here keep pics of this sorta stuff, but if anyone has anything not on the site, feel free to help out! I started the site since I've always been fascinated by the weird labels a lot of these things tend to have. Plus it's not uncommon for the game to be practically ambiguous on what it contains, so in time it can become a good reference for those mysterious cartridges with the nonsense names or pictures. At the least I hope it will become a fun site to browse whenever you're feeling bored. In the meantime, I'll be uploading more pictures  And for the record, it's not a competitor to the BootlegGames Wiki (http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/BootlegGames_Wiki), since this site is primarily to archive pictures of pirates and identify cartridges. Have fun!
It takes a bit to find stuff, I'm sort of running out of sources. For Famicom anyways, which is what I'm mainly doing at the moment. I 98% depend on Polish and Russian websites for most of the pics, finding "Pegasus" and "Dendy" stuff is easier since over in those countries all they've ever known is pirates. I'd concentrate more on pics of SNES or Genesis pirates, but Famicom ones tend to have the most amusing labels, so it makes it more fun to find stuff
Cool stuff. Slightly off topic I guess, but it's interesting that the Super Mario World 64 cart for Megadrive still hasn't been dumped.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G I've been looking for a picture of this http://piratedgamemuseum.wikia.com/wiki/File:Sonicknuckles_box.jpg for about 10 years after seeing it pop up on eBay once. Now just to find a copy. It's the only pirate I actually want, I find it so appealing for some reason.
I might be able to get that for you if you want it. I'll PM you if I see it Mario World 64 was mentioned, I have it and was planning to try to dump it with a Sega CD transfer cable, not sure if it will work. I'm mostly waiting until I have excess funds to waste on something so I can buy a pre-made cable, but I never have that much these days =p
Oh I love stuff like this. It was pirate originals that lead me to ASSEMbler games over 10 years ago.
Top marks for reading comprehension there mate. Check the first post again. You might consider sending it to drx. What do you reckon to the game itself? I've been keeping an eye out for an actual cart, I own most of the other obvious Sonic/Mario crossover pirate carts, but it's pretty elusive.
It's nothing special, I wrote the bootleg games wiki page for it so you can check there for most info. There's actually someone on the JP video site NikoNiko Douga that made a whole playthrough of the game, except they got stuck at the final boss which is some big black ball. I still remember how disappointing it was when i got that far in the game to realize that video was the whole game :x Someone just sabotaged the wiki btw. Fixed it up, wonder if it was a bot or someone out for revenge of some kind =p
Fantastic work Bramsworth, I'll look at getting some of my pirate game photographs uploaded for you this weekend
Cool site! I've got a fair few MD pirates pics of the majority of them are up on my site in the games section, feel free to use any you like . All the pirates are listed as such after the games title. Link: http://www.ninjabearhug.com/segamegadrivegenesis.htm
I think this site can help you in your project http://cah4e3.shedevr.org.ru/pirates.php Also i have NES clone named "Dendy Junior" with 2 cartriges and SEGA MD2 clone with about 16 cartriges. If you need i can upload pictures of my pirated staff.
These pirate carts are interesting and funny at the same time. Also if you have a Game Genie you can really confused them. If only I knew where to find Somari, Kart Fighter and Bishoujo Girl Fighting - and Bishoujo is worth quite a bit.. hmm. Interesting site! The images are great too, it's very difficult to come by when finding pirate carts.
I'm selling a Kart Fighter cart actually, bumped the thread so it's more obvious but here's a link anyway =p: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32685
