Hi guys ! Just saw this today so I thought I'd give the news here. Pix'n'love is a french society which has been publishing very interesting mooks and books about retro gaming history for the last three years. Bought all their stuff and I must say it's always pretty damn good reads with a lot of interesting and precious information. The famicom book will be released soon in french, as a biography of gunpei yokoi. I know they are already working on the super famicom one I have no infos on english versions, since they just started to translate their stuff. They will definitely come sooner or later though so stay tuned
I was thinking why would that book be necessary since we already have Game Over and Ultimate Video Game History, but now I see that it's about the history before the Famicom! Looks fantastic. Will order one as soon! I love videogame history books.
The author of Pix n Love contacted me over a month ago. They were working on the cover of the translated Gunpei Yokoi biography. The author was looking for a specific photo of the late Gunpei Yokoi. I'm delighted to say that I helped contribute to the cover :thumbsup: Finally, Mr. Yokoi getting the respect he well-deserved, decades ago. :clap: Can't wait for the English translated copy.
A bit repetitive but very nice publication: going deep in video game history, lots of trivia, unknown facts, printed on nice paper. I'm buying them since the first issue.
