What do you is the most some sucker is going to pay for an 360 system (not counting bundles) on Ebay? My guess is around $850.

Seriously, it's not that hard to get. I'm picking up a few myself just in case. If it doesn't do well, I will just return them.

    I sure hope so.
My local Wal-mart just decided to go the "ticket" route with the 360.
I was planning on camping outside the store till it opened, but now I'll have to wait until 10pm inside the store hoping to score a ticket.

Local walmart superstore, the one that is closest to me, since there are like 8 of them in Orlando, has like one freight crate full of them.

I was gonna do the same Assembler, but it looks like Ill have to wait for the PS3 to do that (lack of funds). I really dont have any interest in the console currently though. Maybe when RE5 comes out for it.

Out of curiosity how many did ya get? There was a guy at Gamestop here who asked to preorder 20 consoles hahaha. The guy just laughed in his face and said no.

i dont have the money as well to get one, but im guessing if its like the others, they will have ones left in stock at walmart and target, im also pretty sure in the morning you can snag one at circuit city with ease.

I'm only going to pick up five, no sense in going crazy, there's only a 20% chance of them ever going high, I am not going to bust my ass for a $99 profit on each.

I thought about buying 20 of them and selling at cost just to get the free first class tickets from my airline miles credit card!

You get a first class ticket for spending $8,000 on your credit card? How far will that flight take you?

With offseason and the points I have? Toyko and a free companion
    ticket. It's about upgrades.

Normal flight become first class, and with my American Express Platinum I get a free companion ticket of same rating.

Even if I buy full price for say, $3500, I get a second ticket free. So it's $1750 (still quite expensive) per person. I could get a round trip coach for $500. The benefit of living by the airport, and Japanese charter flights. But if you have ever been on a flight that long , it's not too great. Endurable if you travel infrequently.

Besides, in first class I have a couch sized bed that reclines all the way to horizontal, a large flat panel tv, service at my whim, and instead of crackers, soup and pre flight prepared soba, I get champagne, fresh lobster and risotto.
I never have to touch or carry any of my luggage, and if I want to, on some planes I can even take a shower.

I just called my american express concierge, and it's $990 for a first class trip to narita. Well it's business actually, but if I use the points.. you see. First class is like $11,000 straight from an airline, if you're crazy to pay that. But if you book business, and they have an opening, use those miles and a bit of cash.. presto.

I'd like to know where everyone seems to be getting these. The BB here is getting 47 premiums, but it won't be safe to go near the damn place as EVERYONE will be there waiting. Target won't say and TRU apparently doesn't have the skill to actually count how many they have. CC is has a mix of 10 and CompUSA has 10 premiums.

It's not like I live in the middle of nowhere either.

    LOL

This is the ASSEMbler web site, sort of hardcore, and most people have connections.

A good deal of people here already have a 360.

[IMG]Have I told you lately that I love you?

Anyhoo...to be in the business is to get access to neat stuff. But seriously...you might not consider yourself connected, but consider that several people here are well connected...so...you can consider yourself slightly better connnected just by being here. Just consider all the things that come up for sale here that never come up anywhere else.

MY mother works for American Airlines... I fly business whenever possible, and I have flown first class from Tokyo to Dallas before. It rocks... I think it's a lot more than $3500 though. My wife pimps the miles thing too, but I don't know how. My trip last September was business class (all on miles) and she says we'll have enough to do it again here in January.
