Well if it was a intranet on Mars then maybe, but given it wouild take a minimum of 10 minutes to get a signal from Earth to Mars (and 10 minutes back....) and you would get speeds of between V32bis and of twin ISDN when you could send and recieve data you are going to be really limited...

    Japan
    Alaska
    Egypt
    Greece
    Italy
    Germany
    Ireland

...and of course, space! I can't imagine how insanely awesome it must be to see our planet from the outside :p

The same could be said about visiting North Korea. Why would you want to tour a country where you are constantly watched while being fed a line of complete BS the entire time?

The complete bullshit is what makes it fun!

One of the most facinating and interesting countries/cultures in the world.
That will feel like a trip back in time, once in a life time oppertunity, can you imagin a country with almost no cars, no mobiles, almost no technology and no mcdonalds?
One of the weirdest places in the world.
Last chance to see communism/stalinist juche system in full glory.

A little bit like you mentioned: cuba but then to the extreme.
It's almost like visiting another planet :p

Depending if you are a moron dick giving these people a hard time about their politics and insulting the great leader, this will probably be one of the safest countries in the world.
There is zero criminality! nobody will hustle or bother you. Name one other country with those garantees?
Clearly there are some risks going there, probably especially if you are a rude American, don't apply to their rules or the above described moron, but adventures never come without risk.

You can see the guide/goverment spies as an annoyance, but really, they are just 2 buddy's to keep you company, that drive you around, give you guided tours, are your bodygard and so on and this all included in the total price of your visit.

So what they tap your phone? my western goverment does the same thing.

Clearly if you don't like all the above, then this is not the place for you.

Exactly, I have to keep explaining this point when I mention it to people that I want to go there. There aren't many completely crazy cold-war Russia/Nazi Germany type places left.

I've always wanted to visit the UK, Russia (Moscow), Australia (Queensland), Japan (Tokyo), and maybe the US west coast.

Forbidden City in Peking, Rocky Mountains (Skiing!), [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia, Victoria Falls in Africa (Zambia + Zimbabwe)...

Also I'd like to ride the Trans-Siberian Railway. I should start saving money for a ticket etc. Moskow-Peking should cost me around ~700 Euro, more if I wanted to travel first class.
