Hello, I have a couple PS3 betas I'd really like to try out, but unsurprisingly, they don't work on a retail unit. So I have a couple questions about this There are a few PS3 'demo systems' on ebay. Are these able to play beta games\be modified to play beta games? Is there a JTAG like hack I could use on the PS3? Would it be possible to 'sign' the executable to allow it to run on a retail unit? (I'm assuming it doesn't work because the executable is unsigned) Any help would be appreciated Thanks, -Lucas
BUMP: Anyone? I've known about Rebug for some time, will that allow me to play my betas? EDIT: Oops, just found the other topic sitting a few posts below mine Sorry guys
it really depends on how far along in beta the games are... if its a review copy then most likely its a decrypted retail build and should work. if its a early build its not gonna boot cause it wasnt meant to boot on retail yet.
