Play on Katana

Hello !
Since today, I own a Katana so I come here with you I plug it on TV, something appears on the screen. The Katana plays CD-Audio but it's impossible to play any game. Somebody knows the solution ? Regards,

 

Sounds like it needs re-setting from the SDK.

since it plays audio cds the gd-rom is active...you probably need to adjust the terittory from the rotary switch.You do not need the sdk tools for that.

 

the terittory is ok, but it doesn't work anyway...

 

I tryed the embedded test : at the beginning the screen shows some wrong pictures as if there is a problem in video memory. After the screen shows some 3D demos. Are the wrong pictures at the beginning usual ?

 

yes they are part of the test, do not worry about it.

As far as the games go, since you say that it plays audio cds it means that the gd is active and not the emulator.Are you sure the territory is correctly set?I cannot think of anything else.

Also what revision of the devbox do you have?Pre Set5.24 boxes may have incompatibilities with games.

I tried my 5.24 with all the GD I own :-( The territory is on "9" as my games are european (if I tried someting else, most of time the picture is black and white, my games and some of their unprotected backups don't work anyway).

 

My 5.24 has issues with some GD-ROMs that aren't 100% perfectly unscratched. How worn are the discs you're trying to use?

My GD are as new !
