Could you make a dump of it? Test it with your PlayStation account. I can take it from your hands and it would make good use for me as I own a dev kit!

Could you please be more specific? Does the disc let you sign into PSN or some other service?

If you decide to upload an image, I would like to try this out on my debuggingstation. Its an early PCMCIA model and Ive never been able to get it configured for online, if even possible.

There was no PSN for PS2, Even when PS3 came out, PSN came out later and was implemented into PS3 with an update. With a PS2, you simply use a network disc to create a network configuration file on a memory card. Online games then use this file to connect to the internet.

There was (and still is) the PSBBN, which was the predecessor to the PSN.

its needless to run the disc without a network adaptor.if you got one you can run the disc setup wich looks totally different to the normal network disc

I think one of these beta discs in Europe still had hdd.irx atad.irx and pfs.irx on it, which shows they atleast tinkerd with the hdd in Europe I guess. i'm pretty sure the hdd was disabled, but internally maybe they had a build with hdd support.
