i wonder how they came about these numbers. i've work at a rental store for the last year and 360, Wii, and PS3 have crushed the PS2 rental wise. i don't know if that has anything to do with this but whatever.
I played my PS2 more this year then ever....which isn't much. Only reason why is because I got Katamari for it. I was going to say MGS but that's PS1.
madhatter's point was that this is the forum for Sony development - i.e. asking technical questions, sharing information about development. Posts that don't relate to actual coding really belong in the General Gaming forum. ;-) It isn't surprising that the PS2, with excellent backwards compatability and a library of what, thousands of games?, is still the most used console. Modern consoles are expensive - the PS2 was cheap when it was last on sale new, and is cheap as a second hand console and has been for a long time. The games, too, are generally cheap - much cheaper than the PS3 or 360. The console has been around for nearly 9 years and games are still just about made for it - longer than pretty much any console. Add to that a further 5 years or so of PlayStation and you have a library spanning 14 years. So it is no wonder.
Well I don't know about the most played when halo 3 was the most played game on 360 I stopped playing my ps2 long time ago I will play the ps3 now to replace it.
