Well I wasn't originally intending to use OPL, especially since I've got that for my fat PS2. At the moment, I have no way of having my TOOL interface with a PC, so yes, it is more of a "because I can" situation.

Not to mention that inside it already looks like it has rust from a picture I took, so I might want to open it soon. Really if I were to open it, the thing I'd be worried about fixing are that and the DVD Drive and cleaning the rust so I kind of have a problem on my hands that will be a pain to repair when it comes time to be fixed. For now, I intend to use it like a retail that gives me information on how a game runs, because watching the PC side can be interesting.

So, yes, this whole thread was just to ask if I don't have to spend too much money for an external PS2 HDD. Really, until I start working on games, it's to fix whether I can install games to it. I know that both will be a pain to fix when they break, and that's partly why I'm loking for a cheap one instead of one that costs as much or more than what I paid for my tool.

Yes and no. I added support for it because I used to debug games on my DTL-T10000. But the normal releases will not support the T10K.
