Recently came into possession of a bunch of preview/reviewer discs for NIS PS3, PS4 and Vita games. They all boot up and seem to work perfectly, but I'm especially into in the games themselves. Never seen anything like them before, though, so I think they're kinda cool. A couple pictures: Took into my favorite local retro game shop. They hadn't seen this sort of thing before and didn't want them, but pointed me in this site's direction figuring it was the sort of place that might be interested. Full list of titles: -Natural Doctrine (PS4) -Operation Abyss (Vita) -Danganronpa 1 + 2 (Vita) -Disgaea 4 (Vita) -Neptunia PP (Vita) -Demon Gaze (Vita) -Time & Eternity (PS3) -Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (PS3) -Fairy Fencer F (PS3) -Mugen Souls Z (PS3) -The Witch & the Hundred Knight (PS3) Any thoughts? Seen anything like them before or think there's a market for this sorta thing?
The vita cards I've seen before, one of which I own. While normally these aren't special, they're still holding some nice stuff from various sdk that's absent in retail games. They're neat little things. The PS3 discs I've seen before. Nothing surprising. The PS4 disc I'd have to see (and can test if need be). Do you have an image of it?
Visually, it's basically the same as the PS4. Came in a Blu-ray movie case rather than the one you'd see with normal PS4 games, though.
That's actually surprising. I have yet to see a PS4 disc like this. Prototypes yes, but for the most part those were really early for PS3 stuff til BD was much more standardized and simple. I'd actually be interested to know how far along that one is. Feel free to PM me any questions about it if needed. Nice to see a PS4 proto show up like that (review or otherwise).
As expected of review builds. Though if you could, try taking a screenshot on some of those. Capcom has a big thing about builds not allowing screenshots but NIS might not have that kind of deal. On the back of the PS4 disc, is there any PS logo near the inner ring?
That would explain why you were able to play it then. Gotta love pressed discs. Had it not been a pressed disc you would need dev hardware to play it.
Would there be a chance of dumping the PS3 titles? IIIRC you can do so using a regular bluray reader, and since they're most likely masterdiscs you can decrypt the content with the ps3gen tool I'm looking for dumps like these for the ps3
