Not for people that own newer PC TFT monitors. Presumably you could connect one of these up as a second screen? Edit: Also, would both screens have to be outputting the same resolution? Couldn't one be used for Maps/Status Screens/In-game interfaces, or perhaps for chat windows or the like? Certain games could make interesting use for the extra screen.
Thats feasible, but even if you get/have two decent 16:9 computer monitors, its not exactly cheap(id rather use that money for one larger HDTV). If you have two that are not 16:9 your gonna lose a lot of screen space(in 16:9) or resoultion(in 4:3). I have a projector so my image is huge, the idea of splitting the image over two screens and having a break in the picture just seems weak to me. My setup is so immersive, it would really kill the feeling. If the other screen was used data instead of just a larger view that would be good.
PS1 and PS2 in high definition? WOW! (thinks at Final fantasy Tactics with super smooth textures) *cryes*
I can only think of two games that supported it, time splitters and Gran Turismo 3. You needed 2 PS2 and 2 copies of the game, then you connect them through the firewire port... not insanely pratical if you ask me. There may have been a few more games that used it.
um, doesnt that just sound like a system link? Even the xbox lets you do that with 2 tv's, 2 xbox's, and 2 versions of halo. I thought this was something different I guess.
I remember Armored Core 2 also had support for the split link mode, but I can't really find anywhere in the manual on what connection it uses. I'm sure it's the I.Link.
Yeah thats not the same thing as they are trying on the ps3.... I just highly doubt it will be able to display two 720p images at the same time.
