Playstation controller screws, where'd you find these things?

So I picked up a transparent blue PSX controller the other day, code on the back was SCPH-1200 if that narrows it down at all.
Problem I have is that it only had four of the seven screws it should. Long story short, I don't have anything that would fit the holes so I guess I'll need originals.
Does anyone know if I can pull some screws from any other random Playstation controller, or were the screws specific to this one model? (I only ask that because my other Dualshock has longer, thinner screws)
Any advice or information would be much appreciated ^_^

If it's just one of the different coloured controllers, that should be the only difference. You'd get screws from a decent (plastics) screw supplier if you showed them a sample, but a junk controller should have them.

Are you sure it's got the right screws, in that case? Or is your other controller a DualShock 2?

Both are definitely original Dualshock, but after your suggestion that perhaps the screws in the blue controller may be wrong I took another look. It appears you were right, but guy I bought if from must have used a different set of screws to put it back together (no fucking idea why anyone would ever be so stupid as to give that a try). The screws he used were shorter, wider and had a different thread. This means the screw holes will accept either type of screw now, although I imagine the likelihood of the screw holes splitting is really damn high now.

So I guess I should be able to source a new set of screws for this controller from any spare PS1 controller, it's just a matter of finding one.
Many thanks for the advice, it's much appreciated.

No problem. Try local game shops, they may have a non-working grey one. maybe even original non DualShock controller screws would suffice.

As for the threads, I guess you could fill them if they're bad - maybe superglue would be least likely to show in a clear controller.

Maybe even PS2 controllers will work. I've been repairing a couple of PS1, PS2 and PS3 controllers, below is a list of them and what kind of screws they had. Since an non Dual Shock PS1-controller and at least one model of PS2 controllers have the same screws, I guess most PS1 controllers and early PS2 controllers have the same screws, while at some point during the PS2 generation they changed the screw.

All the PS2 controllers has the same model no, but I think the manufacturer of PS2 controllers are identifiabe by a single letter on the rear of the controller (i.e. "H"), and I do believe you can tell controller revisions apart by the model no of the flex board of PS2 controllers (e.g. SA1Q34A, SA1Q42A, SA1Q43A, these model nos seems to be fairly serial and continue even for PS3 controllers that have for example SA1Q159A boards).

What I know at the moment is:
PS1 controller (NOT Dual Shock) grey - Manufacturers letter: "M" // screw type: #1
PS2 controller DualShock 2 black - Manufactorers letter: "H" // flexboard model: UNKNOWN, not detachable // screw type: #1
PS2 controller DualShock 2 black - Manufactorers letter: NONE // flexboard model: SA1Q34A, detachable // screw type: #2
PS2 controller DualShock 2 black - Manufactorers letter: NONE // flexboard model: SA1Q43A, detachable // screw type: #2
PS2 controller DualShock 2 satin silver (bundled with SCPH-50004) - Manufactorers letter: "A" // flexboard model: UNKNOWN // screw type: #2
PS3 controller DualShock 3 CECHZC2U - Manfucaturers letter: "DW"? // screw type: #3 (same as #2 but longer)

I guess the screw should work considering any company with products of nearly the same design would want to cut manufacturing costs. The rubber pads fit in any of the controllers. I use a PS1 face button rubber pad in my PS2 because I'm too cheap to buy a new set. I don't play the pressure sensitive games anyway.
