Hello, around a week ago I opened a PlayStation development IRC channel on irc.freenode.net. The channel is called #psxdev Well, about me, I'm developing a PlayStation SDK in my spare time, and it is at an incomplete yet somewhat usable state. There is nothing public at the moment, though, except for a port to the PSX of ZBlast (http://svgalib.org/rus/zblast), which you can download here I thought that if you are interested about psx development you might like joining the channel for a bit of psxdev talking P.S: I do not really want to advertise anything. Just want to get the ball rolling a bit more... psxdev moves at a snail's pace currently My nick is nextvolume on the channel. That's my new nick.
Guess what? It's still alive  If you are interested about homebrew development on the PlayStation, what are you awaiting? Join! Server: irc.freenode.net Channel: #psxdev
It will become more popular hopefully once PSIO has been launched. *EDIT* Here is the link to PSIO: http://psio.com.au/ And the PSDEV site: http://psdev.psio.com.au/
Why not simply just start a topic on PSDEV (http://psdev.psio.com.au/forum/index.php) for your SDK :stupid: Should you want a separate thread for your SDK, then ask! You are part of the PSIO DEV Team after all.
@Haunted360 Although I understand your point, I don't see any harm on having another PS1 dev forum. After all, it's better (even if messier) to have several sites with the same/similar information... you know, in case one of them goes down. In fact, this is what happens with most "topics" out there: there are several (hundred?) forums/sites related to PS1, PS2, PS3, etc.
Yeah but that's why I launched PSDEV. The only place which will be a permanent backup for everything PlayStation 1. *(Tails and I solved our problems on IRC)
I agree with you Haunted however if you decide that you can't be bothered updating it or maintaining it (life does get in the way of these things) then they can disappear anyway so its always good to have it in more than 1 location
