Playstation SCPH-1002 to BAM or not to BAM that is the question.....

    Using a BAM from a PSone is best (from what I hear).

    1/Maybe, on MMMonkeys site he doesn't make mention of it, but there is a link above if you need to re-calibrate.

    2/No the ribbon cable is fine as is the power cable (or you can use the original Playstation item).

    3/Yes, swap top's over.

    Sorry for updating this post but I've had some strange problem with a SCPH-1002 model.

    I bought it with the drive broken, so I bought the replacement in dealextreme.
    I installed it and it worked for a few minutes. Ten minutes after the installation, cd tracks started to glitch. I rebooted the console and drive didn't work anymore.
    I tried to buy another replacement, and same situation.

    What could be the problem?

    check fuses, if are all good check the ba chip
