NOTICE! - The PlayStation used in this video was already broken beyond repair.

Originally made in 2005 for my Retro Core game show, this touching video is the sad story of how Mr. PlayStation wanted to end his life due to being beaten constantly by his B*tch wife, PS2.

Watch how he's helped on his way by being ran over, kicked around and thrown down a set of stone stairs only to be finally put at rest in the big blue sea.

This video contains content from WMG, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.

    Yeah, me too.

But I remember it from one of your Retro Core shows. I found it a bit awkward to watch tbh :p

What is WMG? I bet it's the Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally) music used at the begining of the video that's caused it. Strange that it works for me though. Looks like I may have to encode it to f4v format and put it on my site.

Hope you don't mean you chucked it in the sea and left it there as that is pollution and plastic in the sea is a growing problem for sea wildlife.

I believe WMG == Warner Music Group.

When did you put up the video? Does WMG have some software that scans each video to look for music copyright violations?

    Can't see it.

And yes, WMG is probably Warner Music Group.

Ah crap. It does look like Warner have blocked the video. They do have a scanner because under my video is a link to buy the music track I used from iTunes. What a load of shit!

No problem, i'll just put it on my site

Yeah warner bros scans all that stuff, especially their music. Even if it's for a joke they take down anything that has their music in it.

Is there an easy way to defeat their scanner? Like put a one second pulse of in-audible sound at the beginning of the track? Or is there some sort of hidden audio watermark they're detecting?

Nah, they really put a lot of work into it, its quite amazing since its able to recognize millions of "fingerprints" from audio and video yet it rarely makes mistakes like confusing a cover with the original song.

You should definitely post it on your site.

I have videos from when I was like 12 of me blowing up things like StarCraft figurines and easter bunnies. It's still funny.
