I know, but still want the NTSC-U for my collection
Plus, I plan to get a fat PS2 sometime in the (near?) future so I can fully test PS2 Linux.

 

I don't have enough time to test but this is the latest kernel published by Sony. If I get some free time this weekend I will check if it works.

 

You can use the distro disks evenwith out a hard drive by actually running the OS from a NFS mount. This is basically silly but it can work.

I've done an install from NFS at one point that was loads of fun

In theory with the right network drivers you could run linux on a slim ps2 this way. Though come to think of it I don't know if there are any other hardware changes in the slim that would make the kernel supplied incompatible.

Your mirrors are not mirrors of the package that was first posted in this thread.
The OP posted an archive of the playstation2-linux.com website (so it's HTML pages mostly, for use on a PC); your mirror is for the Playstation 2 Linux discs and a Linux Live DVD for use with the PS2.
