I don't want to spend a lot of money for new controllers for my recently aquired Xbox 360. So I thought, may it possible to connect a PlayStation2 gamepad to a Xbox360 ? There are a lot of PlayStation gamepad adapters available for Gamecube, Xbox and so on. I would be happy if I can buy such an adapter for my Xbox 260 aswell.
There is one called the sniper 3.0, but it more expensive than a new controller. As a bonus it will allow to hook up a mouse and keyboard. so maybe worth its money?
Aren't those all laggy though? Really your better off just getting a 360 controller, unfortunatly. In the US there not horribly expensive off the net and whatnot. I think I paid 20$ for mine.
No, not really, this one is perfect for COD4 using mouse and keyboard. you just need to find the right mouse sniper 3.0 combination.
Usually I play alone on my Xbox 360 or on Xbox Live. I don't need a second controller very often. Therefore I wanted to save money and space. 20 USD is a very good price. Used controllers cost approx. 30 Euro here in Germany. I heared that you need an original Xbox 360 wired controller for the Sniper. Is that true?
The Sniper 3.0 seems to be the same thing as the XFPS which I gave a link to, and yes, it seems you need a wired 360 controller to use it.
I own a XFPS ( for KB&M use) and yes you absolutely NEED a wired controller to use it. Something to do with putting security chips inside all of their accessories, the XFPS just uses that part of the controller. Actually, after you hook up the wired pad and the XFPS connects to the system, you can unplug the wired controller, however, you at least need a wired controller for that.
I know this is a dumb question but if your looking to use a mouse and keyboard shouldn't you just get the game on a computer?
Yeah but there are some games that are xbox only, and some games that i would rather play with my friends on live, than with random people online on my PC. My problem is that i have HORRIBLE aim with my thumb. Believe me, ive tried just using the controller, and i always end up going back to KB&M, with a few exceptions ( Im excellent at RSV2 with a controller, to the point where ive never even tried it with a KB&M). Its just personal preference, but to be fair, MS should have taken a page out of sony's book and allowed people to use the KB&M on the 360. theres really no good reason why they didnt.
True. Just seems like it would be wierd setting it up but I guess lots of people use there PC moniter for the 360 anyway. I feel your pain about the thumb thing. My hands are fucked up on the inside so I'm pretty bad at aiming. Speaking of R6V2 I just ordered it!
