Hi guys. I just registered to the forum and I am a beginner to the collector's family. I decided that I will collect only items relevant to the 3do consoles. Even though they were a complete failure, I believe that they did pave the way to the future. Of course I own the usual consoles i.e xbox, game cube, snes, nes, genesis, psx, blah... blah but as far as the 3dos are concerned I have a Goldstar 3do with 19 games and an M2 Panasonic FZ-35s. I know that people say that the M2 was never released as an independent unit but here I have a Panasonic with a DVD drive and a 20gb hard disk!!! I am kind of puzzled but the good news is that I did not pay a fortune for it. After doing some research I found out that this unit was only presented by Matsushita at a video game show in 1998 but were never released. Please look here : http://members.tripod.com/~faberp/M2.htm My unit is the Matsushita prototype at the bottom of the page. The difficulty is that I cannot find any software for it no matter where I look so if you guys can advise me where to look that would be great. The 19 3do games that I have are: LEMMINGS,CREATURE SHOCK 1 & 2,INCREDIBLE MACHINE,ALONE IN THE DARK,THE HORDE,SLAYER,GEX,"D",SHANGHAI TRIPLE THREAT,FIFA SOCCER,MYST,OFF WORLD INTECPTOR,SOCCER KID,DRAGONS LAIR,OUT OF THIS WORLD,BLADE FORCE,GUARDIAN WAR,THEME PARK. I also have the buffer sampler and the demo disk. Nice to be in this post. I am lloking forward to hear from you guys.[/img]
Welcome, 3DO is a nice system, at least worthy of its place. Some dudes around here have similae M2 stuff, tho im believing the most common software is like car showroom touchscreen something something.
FZ-35S was used in every Chevrolet dealer in the US as a kiosk for new car models. There's thousands, and you can get them on ebay from a guy who owns about 300 of them for maybe $25.
Where they only used by Chevrolet in the US? Any chance that any of GM's other subsidaries (Opel, Holden, Vauxhall, Isuzu, etc.) used them at any stage, or even considered using them and had some in warehouses or something? Sorry if this question has been asked before - it's the first I've heard of this.
