please help me, i think im an alcoholic

I've been thinking lately and i beleave i have a drinking problem, i just turned 21 and i've been getting trashed every thur/fri/sat .... is this normal or should i seek help? I have a great of a time though muahahahaha, fucking skanks!>.

Seriously, though, what sort of amounts are we talking per day?

In the UK, it is recommended that a man have 3-4 units per day. As a rough guide, a standard glass of wine or a (UK) pint is just over 2 units.

Cutting back would most likely do you some good. And spacing out your drinking times, too - leave 48 hours between to recover.

if you still get pissed like hell when you're 27-30 then i would look for help.. shit when i was 21 that was the least i would do on a daily basis and im ok now without professional help lol.

the good old days where i could get away with it ... now im lucky if i get somewhat drunk once a month lol.

 

I was drinking like that my first year of college. Now that I'm 21, I just don't care much for drinking anymore. You should be fine.

one night i had 2 shots of bacardi, a shot of 151, a 32oz margarita , 3 don julio shots and 3 chivas shots.

the other i had a 32oz XX, long island iced tea, 6 chivas with coke a shot of don julio a jager bomb and mmm thats it.

Until you wake up and think " I need a drink" your not an alcoholic, you're just having a drink. And so you should be at that age. I can hardly remember anything from the age 17-23......

You wouldn't last five minutes as a student in the UK, that's nothing.

These days I'm T-total but a few years ago I don't remember being sober.

 

I never learned proper drinking till I went out drinking with a british co-worker.

nah that's nothing to worry about,christ i used to go out thurs night till sunday night all day drinking,roughly drinking anything from a half/full bottle of vodka or JD and 3-6 pints of lager a day....aaah those were the days

lol, I got drunk and partied almost every day for about a month and a half before. You get sick of it eventually.

But if you never get sick of it, then you have a problem.

 

Drinking early is a symptom of already being alcoholic.

Things like if you get drunk every time you drink or drinking alone (and I'm not talking about a beer or two, I mean drinking seriously) are early signals and in this moment should be the most important things to take care about in your case.

I don't think you're an alcoholic yet, but you should take care about it or you'll be in the way to become into one...
