NOTICE Please refrain from using Photobucket

We noticed Photobucket have been going downhill rapidly for some time now, with ever-obtrusive ads slowing down site functionality. It's almost unusable now.

However, they have now decided that hotlinking to their images with IMG tags (as forum software does) is "3rd party hosting" and that this requires a "price competitive" solution - you have to upgrade to their TOP pricing tier. How much is that? $399 per year.

They are now taking the further step of changing all hotlinks to a big, obtrusive banner ad for their site, informing the user (who is unlikely to be the one seeing the picture) that they need to upgrade. We will not tolerate this.

Please move your images from Photobucket, for everyone's sanity and to ensure your images are still viewable. You have a certain amount of storage on the site, should you wish to use it. Otherwise, we would recommend Imgur still, although you should be able to use Dropbox, Flickr, Tinypic and other image hosts still.
