Please someone sum me up what happened in the last days! I was offline for some days due to problems with my new pc... please fill me in with the particulars of the 300 post topic and such, thanx, karsten
Short form: 1) ASSEMbler received a DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) letter saying that there was infringing material (the vBulletin forum software was pirated by the person hired to setup the forums). 2) The server would be shutdown within 24-48 hours unless the infringing material was removed or fixed. 3) ASSEMbler "disconnected" the forum temporarily and called for donations in order to purchase a licensed/legal copy of the vBulletin software. 4) Over $700 in donations, so far, have poured in and a licensed copy was purchased. The remaining money will be used for other issue that may arise or for other community purposes. 5) The company who filed the DMCA was notified that the license had now been purchased and the problem appears to be over.

Well im sort of back and sort of not. Most likely i will be coming here alot less then i wish however depending on how things develop i might end up here everyday. Sometimes just thinking about logging on is scary as i tend to read every post and that can take well over an hour if ive taken any kind of break from the forum.
