Looks like Sega is releasing two versions of Plug and Play systems on the market. The retail price is expected to be $29.95(USD) for the 10-in-1 game systems, and at least $39.95(USD) for the 20-in-1 systems. Don't know about you guys but I really like that Sonic head unit! Thanks to gamingsteve for the pictures.......
Wow, that's pretty sweet, the game on the right looks just like an SMS Control Stick but the butttons are on the right side instead of the left. I can't believe Sega is paying tribute to something as old school as that, the only ones who are even going to recognize its roots are Sega nuts like us.

Hey, did you guys notice that on the one that looks like the old master system joystick they have a Japanese Gundam SD game running  I doubt that will be on the pack. I'm glad they reversed the buttons on it though. Playing with a Master System joystick was nasty. Yakumo
I'm surprised that they picked that chunky SMS power stick for these plug and play games. That square knob was one of the worst ideas every to come out of Sega R&D.
Hmm pretty good. I guess some of the games are GG 'hacks'. Like SD Gundam. Omar will probably like the control stick one
Yeah, they'll contain Game Gear and/or SMS games. Those pictures are just mock-ups, though. The final designs and game selections will be chosen by companies who will distribute the systems after sublicensing them from the company that is licensing them from Sega and building the systems. A complicated little arrangement that really has very little to do with Sega. I think the SMS architecture patents would have expired recently, just like the Famicom patents expired a couple years ago. Check out www.dcemu.co.uk for the full(est) story on these things, including the news that the company making them also has rights to make fully handheld units with screens and possibly even ones that will take cartridges (if they do come out, I really doubt they'd take original SMS or Game Gear carts, though). I'm pretty sure that SMS joystick with the controls reversed was released alongside the SMS version of Outrun, so it's laid out right for the joystick to be used as a gear shift and the buttons as acceleration and brake. To be honest, I didn't find the layout as bad for normal games as I would have expected. My main problem with it was that the base was just too small and overall the thing was too light, so it was hard to get a good purchase on it. ...word is bondage...
