I have this Pokémon Stadium cart which locks up after the N64 logo and Pikachu saying; "PIKA!"

I really don,t know where to look as I'm really more familiar with console repair than cardridges, other than redoing traces and changing resistors or batteries...

I had this cart given, I thought of using the shell for my Everdrive 64 but I have a red and blue cart which looks great already. I'm contemplating flipping this cart once it's repaired. thanks for the help in advance!

I had a Pokemon Stadium 2 cartridge acting like that. In my case one pin of the game chip wasn't making a good connection to the board.

Could be an arithmetic overflow error like paper Mario? Those two games share the same pcb.

I already tried heating up the solder points so everything should be good there... maybe it's a broken trace but it looks perfect.

If the problem is data corruption, you could remove the save chip and pop it into another game (mario 64 maybe), play one game and return the chip to the pokemon cart. That will erase the data allowing the cart to start fresh.

If the save chip doesn't work on the other cart it's faulty and need replacement.
