Just a quick note for people wanting to play Pokemon Go on Jailbroken IOS devices. The application has a check built in that detects if you are on a Jailbroken device. There is a fix that I can confirm works, it's called PokePatch Repo: https://ryleyangus.com/repo It's free.
Heh, and I'm gonna guess rooting your android device doesn't matter for it? I need to root mine eventually but I'll get to it when I do. A shame the iOS version doesn't like Jailbroken devices.
For me iphones are waaay too limited even compared to android phone w/o root. Not to mention 3x less powerful hardware for 2x-5x price. Like iPhone 6 specs are laughable compared to my Xiaomi Redmi Note3 (3/32 Snapdragon version), but the price is more than 2.5x times higher.
the reason iPhones became so popular is they are consistent. Learn how to use an iPhone once, grab say an Xperia Z5 Ultra and a Samsung Galaxy Ace (S5830), give the ACE to a non-tech person and have them learn how to use it for 6 months.. Now give them the Xperia... Now do the same with an iPhone 4 and iPhone SE... The biggest market for consumer goods, phones in this case, is the general public, people with basic knowledge of technology..
I disagree. All Android devices are pretty much the same when it comes to basic usage. You'd have to be a right dumb ass not to be able to use one over another. As for iPhone, well I'm not even going to go there. Overpriced, over hyped fashion accessories.
Yep, all Android phones are basically the same. Manufacturers like to add a light skin with custom home launcher, but if you like the stock Google launcher you can just download it. Or you can get fancy and choose one of the other options out there that cater more to how you like it. I could definitely see how a long time iPhone user could get overwhelmed with the amount of choice they get with Android. That's the point of Android though, if you want a phone pre configured to someone else's tastes then the iPhone is great.
Very few android devices have the same layout, in terms of buttons, Samsung use physical buttons, most sony's don't. The main function buttons do different things on Xperia's as they do on Samsungs, by default Xperia's don't even have file management.. For general consumers it IS a jankie experience... Needing to teach a customer how to use their phone again because they switched manufactures, in my eyes isn't a fluid experience. On the flip side, I've had customers go from an iPhone 3G to 6s with no need to teach them other than showing them the power button moved... As someone who works both sides of the fence, retail and servicing (the company I work for is a certified service centre for sony and a few others, not some dodgy kiosk). General consumers NOT 'power users', people that struggle to use MS office some days, have more 'user error' issues with Android handsets.. Now there are people that fall in this category that only use Android (generally Samsung) also but the majority of people just want a phone that works... The first rule of upgrading a persons phone or up-selling is to find out what they are used to and if they like it. That's why not everyone uses the same phone, car, console or whatever.. It's something a LOT of big box retailers can't freaking understand, probably because Android devices have a huge margin, Apple devices have none (just enough to cover tax).. If you do a HarveyNorman, you're going to end up with grumpy customers and probably a few returns.. It's easy to say one is better because that's what you like, a blanket claim like that doesn't work at all in the real world.. PS: Sorry if that sounded angry
