    Check it out

    And the description:

To own one of the only two known to exist prototype

Atari LCD handheld game systems from 1981.

This auction is for the non-working Super Breakout

    LCD handheld.

The design was done by Linda Whitten formerly with

Atari's Consumer Electronics Division and was purchased

directly from her along with the Space Invaders Prototype and

all of the marketing materials she had for the units.

So it's just a plastic mock up?

Yeah, plastic or (more likely) painted wood. They never even got to the prototype stage with these. Technically, the 'other' one is Space Invaders (but it's the same thing, just different colors as seen in the picture).

I wouldnt even give that, apart from a historical perspective that thing is pretty much useless.

Apart from the historical aspect NO Atari item is worth more than a couple a bucks.

Hmm, not one to practice what you preach huh?

I have seen these as I met this person and they are basically painted bits of wood with plastic glued on.

ehh Atari sucks for playing. I only buy it for the historical aspect. I can appreciate it was good for its time but its no fun today.

Just like a car collector can appreciate a Model T ford but not choose to drive one.
