The big issues would be, for one thing, lack of power. There just isn't enough resources available to make a game as large as GTAIII, let alone an open world game with homebrew tools. I guess you could make a game similar (it has been done already, although not really in a GTA style) but no way close to GTAIII.\

Will NEVER happen, why are you even on this forum? You NEED the source code to port anything to anything. I don't know if it's already becouse im irritated but i am so SICK of reading posts like this on every other forum i visit let alone here.

I think the better question is why you bumped this thread to begin with. It's obvious that this will never amount to anything, so I don't see why you came in to reaffirm this more than a month later.

Ditto. Second your post doesn't make any valid points.

Sickness is not a valid excuse for your poor post.

Rockstar games would not do that gta 3 port to ds or even 3ds.

And rockstar games is the only one with the C++ code of that game.

I think you, like others, are totally missing the "-like game" part of his post. I think he is wondering if someone had an open world style game that was made on iOS would it be possible to bring said game to the DSi. Over all it would be very complicated due to the 3D limitations of the DS but a few studios did some decent games that are like GTA. Cops by Ubisoft is actually pretty impressive for what it achieved on the DS.

I actually got decent progress with getting Final Fantasy 7's PC version running on an original Xbox back in the day. =) You can port without source code - it's just...harder.
