Hi! I'm new to this Forum, but when I look at other projects that have been done here I think I'm at the right place. I always wanted to have a descent wireless controller for the PS2, but all the 3rd party stuff I've tested so far wasn't very satisfying. With the release of the PS3, Sony also released the perfect wireless Playstation Controller. They only forgot to release a receiver for using it with older Playstation consoles ;-) I've done some research on this and nobody seem to have tried to build such a receiver yet. The closest thing I could find was a project using an arduino microcontroller with a USB host shield for connecting the PS3 controller with the help of a bluetooth USB dongle. You can find more details here and here. I'm no programmer and no electronics engineer, but in my little understanding of that stuff I think it should be possible to "translate" the output of that special library to something the PS2 can understand. s far as I can see, the output of the PS2 controller is documented quite well (i.e. here). I don't want an out-of-the-box solution, I just wanted to kick in the idea and do some brainstorming about it, what would be needed to reach the goal, etc. Maybe there are some more advanced people here who like to mess around with it and I would love to see some serious project to grow up out of it. So long... eroxm PS: English is not my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
