It might not be accurate (depending on the version of the 64dd fw): but the values might pertain to the following LEO_SENSE_UNRECOVERED_READ_ERROR 23 (=0x17 hex) whilst the status (2) is reported as LEO_STATUS_CHECK_CONDITION. This means the drive might have something wrong (mechanical), or the disk might be formatted differently / broken. Did this error come up with all the disks? whilst for the retail disk the error is : status (2) = LEO_STATUS_CHECK_CONDITION same as above sense = LEO_SENSE_DIAGNOSTIC_FAILURE this might be due to a) the drive not responding b) the drive not being able to recognize the disk being present. c) some other black magic I opt for b, as if it would had been a) you would have gotten it with the normal disk as well.
This error did come up with all the disks I received with these units. But other dev disks work just fine with the beta units so I doubt anything is wrong with the DD unit itself. And the disks show information when you command partner to show it. Partner only gets errors when attempting to dump the disks. You also get error 23 when trying to boot the disk after loading ipl4rom to partner, much like you would get when you try to boot a blank disks......
Hmm, so, they might be wiped...nevertheless, would still be intresting to take a look at a hard dump...
yeah thats why I was trying to dump them just to see if anything is present. I was surprised when they wouldn't dump after partner had no issues seeing the disk information.
Ok willis82 your collection sounds amazing , but with all respect can you please upload photos of your setup and collection if its not to much to ask. You have peaked my curiosity like a child watching a new toy commercial.
