Possible prototype Wii remote?

    Wouldn't the top back of the controller be a bit pointed if it was prototype?

    The back is the same as a standard remote, except for the placement of the "B" engravement. It is where you put your index finger, rather than on the "ledge" of the trigger. That pic is most likely an earlier mock up/proto.

    Apparently the earliest prototype controllers used ethernet connectors between nunchuk and remote.

    Never heard of that, but I know that the Dolphin used a phone jack, so that's plausible.

    That connector is coaxial I think.

    Coaxial cables actually have very high bandwidth. Consider cable internet for example. AFAIK it all depends on the controllers at each end.
