Just curious as I've seen a video of a EUR PS2 ( link ) running it and curious as to exactly how he did it.

I've read there's a "manual" way to install it but haven't really found a lot of information about how to do it.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I'd love to give BB Navigator a try on my PS2.

so you have found my video :D ?
and yes, it is possible. it requires you to be able to run hackchips "cracked" psbbn disc,
and install the psbbn that way, after the installation you need to hookup the hdd to your
pc and replace the mbr.elf with a region free cracked one via winhex's sector editor. you also need to replace
the "osdboot.elf" inside of the "__system/p2lboot" folder with a region free cracked
one aswell, then psbbn will boot without any trouble on ANY ps2 region.

i'm not sure if i can link he cracked files here, because the ppf-patch for the psbbn-mbr on psx scene dosent work, and you CANT use the HDD-OSD mbr for the
    PSBBN.

edit: oh and you need a official sony-hdd. i have heard from l_oliviera that atad patch chips wont work with PSBBN.

    Indeed I did

Luckily I grabbed hackchips cracked PSBBN image to attempt the install however I do not have a official sony hdd *yet* ( I have one on it's way to me. )

When I did try to use it... I used cogswap to boot it and it did definitely boot up to the menu but shortly after selecting the bb navi installer it black screened so I do not know if it was because of the disc of choice or if it was because I didn't have a official ps2 hdd in it.

Thanks for the information so far, hopefully when my new drive comes in I will have more success than whats currently happening.

that black screen is caused off the corrupt menu off the hackchip disc, and
burning the image to cd corrupts the elfs from the installers.
you need to burn it to dvd(mabe you already did). then use ule's filebrowser
and launch the PSBBN installer elf(not the hackchip cd menu elf) that way.
esr wont work in any way.

you also need the hacked ule from l_oliviera,
i sadly cant find the download link on psx-scene for it, it will let you access
sony's password protected pfs partitions which is needed to replace
    the "osdboot.elf".

I tried both CD and DVD burning and whenever I try to open the disc in ULE it just gives me a bunch of 0 B blank files.

    Any idea whats causing this?

    hm.. that sounds strange.

oh and i remember that i patched the iso with the esr disc-patcher,
but still using the swap method(disc-control on) of ule with a original dvd game.
maybe the esr patching had some possitive effect.

i wonder if "PS2GUY" got it to work finally...he had a similiar problem.
