Possible to make Ps2 Public Betas playable offline??

Hey there
does anyone knows if its possible to make playstation 2 public betas playable offline??
i mean you "just" have to bypass the connection to the server/network adaptor and maybe its possible to see the multiplayer maps and menus.Doesnt matters if there are just empty maps without enemeys etc.
As i am a noob in such thinks,i wanted to ask if anyone tried this before and could tell me about his experience (or fail).

Well i know with outbreaks online beta, i was told someone on the RE 123 invision board found out how to play offline by replacing some files from the beta with retail.

You could try that...
