So i was recently on E-bay looking for for strange and obscure MD/SMS clones when i found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-in-box-...3-PRO-Games-/221832348579?hash=item33a63d03a3 Could this be a possible unknown Nuon model/clone? For those of you that don't know what a Nuon is http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/pg00-nuon.htm#page=reviews
What makes you think it's a Nuon? A lot of old CRTs had primitive built-in games, so I wouldn't put it past manufacturers to do the same thing with some VCRs/DVD players.
because most of the time the games weren't advertized on the box,you had to either dick around in the settings or know a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy to tell you the right combination to enter with the remote
I don't think the Nuon had built-in games in the first place. It's probably a famiclone, as Alchy said.
Nope, they were not built in, they were on discs. The Nuon consoles also have a logo on them saying they accept said discs. I have no idea what kind of games they would put on a DVD player though..
DVD famiclone, and here's a DVD Megadrive clone. These things are not rare or particularly interesting - just the same old shitty clone hardware but with no cartridge port (and in the case of the famiclones, only support for the earliest, most basic mapper 0 games, since there's no mapper hardware built into the devices). They come with a disc full of ROMs. Sounds like you're up, then.
