I came across this on youtube a while ago. It might be legit since he is using a dev cart. Just a note, the only activity on his account was uploading this video.
Thanks for posting! Well, it's interesting, but I really doubt it's genuine. I don't imagine that making a title screen and getting it to load on your TV would be too hard, and given that the account has never posted anything else since 2008, it seems pretty suspicious. An early Zelda 64 prototype is like the Holy Grail for a lot of us, but I like to think it exists somewhere out there =)
This seems to be fake. Why he is not passing the "Title screen"? Besides that, this debug infos on the bottom left are strange. We actually know these Debug infos should look like if you look at the MQ Debug. They used the very same engine even back than.
Old fake. First and foremost: At this (supposed) early stage of development, debug info should be in Japanese.. and not eigo de. Second: Dat over-exaggerated emboss in the logo.. for god sake, whoever made this fake, that's awfully shameful! And, third: 144p? Any smartphone could film in better resolutions, even 2008 ones. I mean.. c'mon.. the guy supposedly got the money to spend on a "Zelda 64" proto and not on a decent phone/camera?! Sheesh. Farfetched to the extreme, just like that fake unreleased NES Zelda (that also contained just the intro screen btw).
Aye, probably trying to bandwagon on the current hype about the supposed OoT MQ dev cart that's popped up.
I downloaded this video with a youtube to mp4 converter awhile ago and I found that the original resolution a lot lower. I checked the properties of it and found this. The resolution is 176x132, and get this, the frame rate is a whopping 6 fps!!!!
