Well it was until I got home and realised that the RR Type 4 disc was missing. I was really looking forward to playing that.

Reliving some Tekken 2 is always good though,

They gave you a TAPE player in a year 2000 car? Talk about being cheap.

I bought it used last year, and the tape player was the only thing that was not base, I could have gotten other Beetles that had the better stereo, but this one just had the tape but it came with heated leather seats, power moon roof, basically every option you could get on the 2.0L motor expect for the Stereo.

I love that car, I'm 6'5" so for head and leg room its fantastic. I love having a moon-roof again

Hell, these days I'd rather have a tape deck than a CD player so I can plug an MP3 player into a cassette adapter.

That, and I have an abnormal love for tape media. :D

I got lucky and bought the cassette bottom attachment off of ebay, brand new, for about $25 (dealer price was ~200). Basically the radio is semi-modular - the CD and tape units plug into the main radio, internally, and when the car doesn't have one of the two it just has blank plastic pieces in the appropriate holes.
    Maybe this will help illiustrate:
So when I bought the car I just had a blankish rectangle where the tape would go. (the entire space between the two knobs, so no existing eject or dolby button originally).
I'm really surprised how easy they made it for me to "upgrade"... Us Americans wouldn't ever do this sort of thing.

IF I were really cool, could get a mini-disc unit for the bottom.
    I thought about it.
    Quite seriously.
    I've got a mini-disc recorder.
But it was just slightly out of the question. I don't have enough friends that would legitimately give a crap. In fact, none of them would. XD

Don't all modern car stereos have a AUX in though? I know that every car I've used in Japan has one. Even my wife's shitty car has a CD Player with AUX in as standard. I gues it's just country standards. In my Impreza's manual as well as showing my car's stuff they show manual window handles, a really shity looking aircon pannel and a very basic dash. I've never seen this set up in any Impreza so far so I wonder if the images are for some super stripped out model sold in other countries?

There is an AUX in my Stereo, however its on the back of the unit and it only works with the iPod which normally would be fine, but you use the radio to navigate the iPod and I've never heard anything good about that system for the VWs, don't know about other vehicles, that and its stupid expensive for that cable and I rather have a CD/MP3 unit than another wire running out of my dash . . .

    That'd be awesome :033:

Mini-Disc unit for the car, just sweet. I love mini-discs, I do not own any as of now, nor any player/recorder, but they were the shit back then, and still are fuckin' cool

    Received this today.

Bought it mostly because of the "JogoJusto" Project. Brazilian game distributors, and also companies and game store owners are trying to convince the government to lower taxes on games. On Saturday, some stores sold 3 selected games without these taxes to prove how it would help the gaming market.

Original price, with all taxes, was 199,90 Reais. Because of the "JogoJusto" promotion, it costed 99,90 (plus 5% discount i got).

The official taxes for games combined go up to 124%! This is because videogames are taxed as "gambling machines". Now figure out why most people choose piracy over buying original product. That's why more than 80% of the market for official and original products consists of imports. Even if they tax the parcels, it would go only to 60% of the parcel value.

Anyway, the JogoJusto project tries to show the potential of the market to the government. They have to convince the government that lowering the taxes will actually help the market, help creating jobs and end up helping the tax income.

For example, i got Gran Turismo 5 Collectors Edition for 272 Reais (thanks to Assembler and Sonik). This already with shipping included! The standard version of Gran Turismo 5, released by Sony Brasil costs 200 Reais.

That's just a small price difference but the the brazilian version has terrible cd art quality, no internal cover background and uses a standard Blu-ray case. So for 72 Reais more, i got a special edition with a cool case, better cd art quality, internal cover background, and all collectors edition bonuses: a 1:43 miniature car, a key ring, a book, a certificate and 6 bonus cars (5 chrome line and 1 stealth). Unbelievable huh?

Another thrift store massacre. All told I paid about $250. I'm not 100% on the value of these so any insight would be great. All of them are sealed. There is one Seaquest cart open but the rest have the SEGA sticker still intact. Were Mega Drive Carts sealed in plastic too?:

Finally got around to getting a few games I'd missed out on many times the 1st time around.
    Radiant Silvergun for around £90
Keio Flying Squadron 2 PAL for about £30
    Pocket Fighter for £10
    and
Shining force 3 NTSC/US for more than I care to admit considering how common it is.

(All boxed in Mint/Good condition) However I've recently moved so all boxes are boxed away at the moment so nasty CD wallets ahoy.

Also a game of mixed quality...
The Special Memorial Edition of Virtual On Marz that came with 6cd OST, huge artbook, lil tangram figures & Breast Size DLC code?!

A couple of things over the last few weeks.

Asian versions of Mindjack and Dead Space 2. I love the warning sticker on the Dead Space 2 wraping  . Also a few Saturn titles including Play Boy Karaoke Vol.2 which I've been searching for a few years now for the collection.

Uuuh, Angel Lips sounds interesting :p

Until not too long ago, there was a Playboy spine-card sold separately for like 500yen on YAJ. You might want to consider that to complete your copy, but I'm neither sure if it's still there nor if it was volume 1 or 2. Still, might come in handy.

I just figured fuck it and bought Metal Slug for PSP from the PlayStation Network Store's Neo Geo Station.

I was debating whether or not to get the PS3 version (why on earth it doesn't work on both like minis/PSone classics is beyond me) but I couldn't find out if it worked with remote play or not, so in the end I opted to get it for PSP as a) it was £2 cheaper and b) my co-op bum buddy refuses to buy anything but blu ray or UMD so I wouldn't be able to play online with him anyway and finally c) I can play it home or away.
