Trapped Dead 4-Pack @ £6.24 in the Steam Sale. I gifted the 3 spare licences to friends I co-op with regularly.

 

I consider myself lucky this month, I won a dreamcast promotional jacket on ebay yesterday :victorious:

Bought a Nokia Lumia 900 - Windows Phone a few days ago

 

Yoshi Story Arrived yesterday, and Super Mario 64 last week. Too lazy to remove RR64

I also managed to finally find an Android tablet

 

I wanna get one of those SO BAD! How is it?? I'm due for an upgrade next month and I can't wait.

I currently have the Focus S but I actually liked the original focus a ton better. I never thought I'd say this but, I want a Nokia!

 

Really, really good.
The fit and finish of the phone is excellent. Rounded edges and a good size/weight ratio. Screen is large and bright, though not as sharp as Apple's Retina displays.
Overall performance is great and I'm quite happy with it.

Nokia just released a patch today to fix any cellular data and battery issues that have been reported.

 

Dataram RAMDisk @ $17.99

I've tried a few RAMDisk programs i nthe past but I found the free version of Dataram RAMDisk to be my personal favourite, though it is restricted to 4Gb which is fine for using it as a cache or scratchpad. Well I decided I'd play through Mass Effect as I haven't even started it yet but I decided I wanted to put my extra RAM to good use and load the game from a RAM Disk. The catch being the game on 64kb clusters comes to 10.2Gb effective size... which means I need the paid licence to use all of my memory.

I've only really used the free version for loading benchmarks etc as it can increase FPS by reducing stutter due to loading etc as well as reducing loading times in general... well it should do with a sequential read of about 5GB/s vs HDD 100MB/s

The only sucky thing about paying for the licence is it is basically a generic looking file which you copy and paste into your install folder. Not a very good system IMO as I could have just copied and pasted someone else's. In any case the full product is unlocked and I'm happy with it.

I could have got it £0.24 cheaper on amazon, provided I waited upto 5 days for delivery. No thanks... The retail copy forces me to use steam anyway... so I may as well just enter the serial into steam and play it today.

 

Some super mint Mega Drive games this last few weeks. I ended up with 2 copies of Bad Omen though because one of them had no manual. So the copy without a manual will be given away as a prize on the next Retro Core.

Rage @ £5.09 from Gamefly (formerly IGN Direct2Drive)

I was checking my e-mails and I had some direct marketing for this title. I rarely if ever make purchases in this manner but as it is a title I wanted at a price I could afford... how could I say no?

There was no way in hell I was going to use their app again on my fresh install, but fortunately as this is a Steamworks title all I had to do was copy and paste the serial into Steam then download it from there, job done.

 

It'll take weeks if not months until I get my hands on this, so I'd rather post the auction image while the happiness is still fresh

I've been waiting for such a bundle for AGES. It's SO hard to find these Namco games on their own (of course I just mean the very rare rereleases Galaga, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Pac Man and Mappy), and it's even harder to find one of them in a bundle that is badly advertised... let alone massive 4 of them at once! I'm so happy... now it should be a piece of cake to complete the Namcot plastic case collection

 

^^^ A whole bunch more Neo Geo CD games for my collection (aiming for a complete set) the rest will probably end up being sold.



^^^The Mega CD Powers on opens and closes the tray fine but just doesn't spin the discs. I do have a broken sega cd I might be able to use for parts. The Panasonic Q is missing a panel on the bottom and works fine. the only odd thing is the inside guts don't feel like they are secured. Plan on opening it up and seeing if there is any way I can make it not move around. Grabbed a Broadband adapter for the Dreamcast so I can dump DC games. Also grabbed a satellaview for kicks and giggles not sure if I can actually do anything with it though.
