The Gods of gaming were looking down on me tonight. 5 SFC games only 1500 yen!! and best of all Macross is ultra mint. The only flaw is the price sticker that was in the center of the box has left some of the backing on the game box. To be expected though since it had been there since 1994 or there about.

Wanted these two since release but my finances are super tight, found £25 when cleaning the car so finally got them...oh and yay first games of 2013 xD.

 

Lollipop Chainsaw came down dramatically over the past few months. It's around $24 here (that's like super old game price in Australia.)
I'd say the game is worth the 12 pounds you paid. $80 was a lot of money to pay for that game, it's very short.

That Macross game you got, Yakumo, is absolutely sweet. That was the first Super Famicom game I imported, as well.

So, so awesome.

The "select pilot" music is pretty much the coolest "select a ship" music on any shooter ever.

And the engrish on it is intense.

A lot of recent games have really tumbled in price here lately, Hitman absolution £10, halo 4 £16 and resident evil 6 £12...When I get the funds I'm gonna get enough games to see me into 2014 lol.

It's crazy, I think the UK is great with pricing though. Here it's mainly all UK copies sold at Australian release prices, horrible. Then they wonder why the market is bad here :/

Skip Resi 6, it's terrible. I wouldn't mind a copy of absolution for PC for a tenner though :L unsure about the DRM on it though so not sure if its feasible as a used game.

 

Is resi 6 really that bad? Keep in mind that I have actually played Too Human to completion lol...as for absolution I've heard the AI is really shit so it's gonna be worth a purchase just to laugh at the AI.

Is Raiden Fighters the sane game as Raiden IV? I have that for my 360 but didn't know there was a Raiden Fighters.

 

Raiden Fighters is the first of 3 Raiden spin-offs in the late 90's. There was Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet. They are much faster, harder and the gameplay is quite progressive compared to the original Raidens and also compared to the newer sequels Raiden III and Raiden IV. They focus heavily on score, have tons of fast moving bullets and beautiful 2D graphics in the style of Viper Phase 1 or Shienryu - other than the rather ugly 3D in Raiden III and IV.

Raiden Fighters Aces is a compilation of the 3 RF games and the only console port.

 

Both are much cheaper in the US than Japan. But still region locked and as far as I can tell neither reached PAL.

 

Oh, don't remind me of that drama of PAL Raiden Fighters Aces! It's such a long story of postponements, bankrupt publishers, new publishers, another bankruptcy, further postponements and so on. I think they first announced it in 2008 for the PAL market and they're still going LOL
