    Bought those 2 on ebay for 99 euro each.

    * Cruis'n USA Single-Sit Down
    * Silent Scope

    The Cruis'n USA is working (Gameplay fully functional - coins are also accepted fine) and needs the screws replaced [rust], also it's missing the display cover on the back which I'll replace. I might install an LCD in it anyway.

    The Silent Scope has hardware error 11 according to the description. I already programmed a tool to "flash" a new timekeeper (which should arrive during the next days).
    We have to stand it upright first to get to the mainboard though. The cab is in an OK condition and I will try to make it look perfect again.
    Unfortunaly the Silent Scope has no way to fit through german doors (80cm in width - The main part is more like 1m x 1m). I'll have to cut it in two parts.

    I had to rent a car for 70 euro, a trailer for 30 euro and pay lunch for a driver (about 20 euro) + around 130 euro for gas.
    We had to drive 6-7 hours to pick it up (accross Germany) - then 6-7 hours back to our home. We spend an entire day picking them up.

    So 450 euro for (my first) 2 arcade machines!

    That's unbelievably expensive imho.
    Not sure if these cards are more expensive in australia. But I have seen then far cheaper (Germany, < 1 Euro per game). Personally I limited myself to 2 Euro per Xbox game since I started collecting those (but only if they are in good condition including game manual and the original case).

    I expected SNES games to be FAR cheaper than Xbox games (all around the globe).

    no way In Australia a deal like this is hard to come by Snes games are often 20 dollars for just one cartridge so getting 8 for that price is dirt cheap

    It's an OK condition.

    The Cruis'n was treated horribly. Rusty screws, broken buttons and lamps, rusty pedals, monitor calibration is off and monitor cover missing in the back - so it's full of dust. I already decided that I'll put an LCD into it because I'm worried that the broken anode cable on the CRT might cause a major malfunction one day. It will also look better and be lighter afterwards.
    I'll have to replace some lamps etc. too.

    The Silent Scope is in a way better shape, but the ground plane broke, one wheel is missing etc. So I'll have to replace that anyway.
    As the current thing is too large I will cut it in halfes (under some removable plastic parts - so you won't be able to see the seam, except for a very very short distance).

    If they would have been in a better condition, I wouldn't cut them in half or anything. But seeing how I have to replace some parts anyway, I figured that I could customize them some more - I'll attempt to stay as close to the original as possible, but I'll make some tradeoffs so it's easier to transport these beasts and to save some money while getting a more luxurious result (It's nearly impossible to get some replacement parts in Germany).
    (Let's remember that both games seem to work with few technical fixes + both have working monitors + motors + ..., so well worth the 450 Euro anyway)

    Got back from a carboot this morning and picked up an xbox, nothing unusual there but the xbox debug lettering on it made me look twice, couldnt believe it so snapped it up , no leads though ! Talking to the sellers they said it was there sons and he left it at theirs years ago when he left home to work abroad , I asked if it came with anything else (trying to keep cool ) they said they found it with some cds but didnt know if they were for the xbox, or not.

    I asked if they had brought them ......... I walked away with 5 silver cds ! My first dev kit !!!! Just gotta grab some leads and fingers crossed it works!!!!

    What a day , makes up for having to go into work later on a sunday :D

    I was looking for a Mega Drive RGB cable and I ended up buying a French Mega Drive I with the official Sega SCART cable for €8. Also bought a Mega-CD II with extension plate for the MD1 for €13.
