The purpose of this topic is to find out who is who when they are on ebay bidding/selling. It can work out like this.

If you're an ebay seller and we know you frequent this message board then you gain some good "trust" points with most of us if we plan on bidding on such a rare item.

If someone posts something in the ebay thread that a lot of the members want, it would be nice to know who we are competing against. Not for bad reasons, but lets take a look at the PSX CDR Auction a few weeks ago. A few of the members here wanted the same lot of CDRs and they all didn't know each other's ebay name and ended up having to spend more than what they could've spend if they new their names before and coordinated their bids to thwart off other bidders.

Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say? It is to mainly help each other out when it comes to stuff like the PSX CDR auction so that we can easily see know who is the highest bidder or who was out-bidded, etc. And it can be used as a reference whenever you sell something on ebay that you might not mention in the ebay thread.

Is anyone okay with this idea? It's not something I think the message board needs but it might be something that would be contributive, especially for our marketplace here.

It might work, but then agiain it might not. Someone could see what we bid on, and instead of keeping it secret and getting it cheap, another member could outbid us, if they wanted that item.

I'm willing to give it a try. My ebay name is...you guessed it, djb1986.

Meh, too many new members joining up lately and lurking. I prefer to stay anonymous, thanks.

I don't mind people I know knowing who I am on eBay, but exactly what has been mentioned before - I don't like the idea of people looking to see what I'm bidding on so they can bid against me. Sorry!

Well I was hesitant to post my name but since I usually save my bids for the last 4 seconds I don't think it much matters.

    >>Anyone know an "einspritzung"?
I know einspritzung - he occassionally looks by here....

He's a top notch guy, 10/10 for feedback for him.....he puts me to shame for calling myself a collector!.....good guy to know, I'll be putting up a rather unique article on the Dreamcast written by him soon (on dreamcastgallery)
