Power cable for HKT-1100 Dev.Cas?

9v 850ma Cable does not fit

Any Ideas?

You can easily replace the end on the transformer with the correct adapter. Take the unit into Radio Shack or whatever electronics parts store is closest to you and have them determine the correct size.

Also be sure to note what polarity the unit is expecting. The transformer you bought is center-pin negative. Storm, which way is your transformer?

 

I'm not 100% sure right now*, but looking at the pictures I'm 99% sure the centre in is supposed to be +, the shield looks like it's hooked up to the ground plane. The chances of letting out the blue smoke by getting the polarity wrong are slim, but I don't want to be responsible for that, so double-check.

* I use a variable voltage transformer with replaceable connectors and reversable polarity, and it's not currently assembled for connection to the HKT-11.

I know its not the right mA rating but wanted to test the size of the plugs and could not find one to fit as it should. Got one that was close but it was still in too loose. Might just have to suck it up and go to "The Shack".

Thanks in advance for anymore ideas anyone can think of.

Also if anyone has a power cable that they think might work I will gladly buy it from them with paypal at a fair price (that is if the radio shack venture still doesnt work out).

 

What is this thing? is it the Midi mixer thing or what? what is it used for?

 

Don't feel like messing around with it anymore so I am selling the unit on the neo-geo.com forums.
