Released? Unreleased? You know, many factors change the value.
Is there a "market" for laseractive protos? I'd say around 150-200 since it's an unusual proto.

If it's a proto for a well known arcade title (ie, say you had a Dragon's Lair disc with roughs instead of final video or a previously unknown scene) you wouldn't have trouble selling.

For a run of the mill arcade game or a generic laseractive title...well let's just say that the collector interest runs about as high as it does for CD-i prototypes. :(

    Last time it went for....

$500 US from what I recall. That was 4-5 years ago from what I remember. I think I offered $350 which didn't quite make the grade with the proto owner. The lame thing about the Laseractive version of Myst is that it looks like they just used the CD-i version or something similar as the source material since the video window is small and pixelated. It is a pretty obscure proto for a fairly obscure console, so I think $400 - $500 is still probably the appropriate range nowadays.

In order for someone to pay $400-500 for Myst it would have to be far different from the standard, or a Myst collector such as myself. I wouldn't pay more than $30 personally.

Obscure? Not terribly, it's Myst for gods sake, the only time it's obscure is if you were born after it was made. The LaserActive would be obscure now if not for the fact every school in town still uses their player for something.

Hey, Tetris hit the iPod. Myst can't be far behind. ;)

It'll be the rebirth of the FMV gaming craze!
