Picked this up today factory sealed from a local store in case someone wanted it remembering that longbox games are somewhat sought after.

Could anyone kindly give a quote on how much to value a factory sealed psone UC-NTSC longbox Viewpoint at?

Listinsg on ebay turn it up at $8-$10 USD for used copies, saw nothing sealed though.

There was also a tennis game, name forgotten, and some ea nba games, though I imagine they can't be worth much.

Any help on this much appreciated. If anyone is interested offers are also welcome.

    Anybody?

I guess there's no interest here, if no one shows interest it's going back whence it came today. Thanks.

According to the preview of the Playstation Rarity List, being made by Kevincure, Papastu and some other cool guys from Digital Press, Viewpoint it's a rare game and worth about 3 dollars (i think this value is wrong).

Anyway, 15 dollars max for it sealed.

Get the name of the other games, maybe some of them are worth more.

By the way, i should alert you of something. Longbox games are easily "re-sealed" so be careful. :smt023

The game is dfinitely factory sealed as it's not cheaply shrinkwrapped, but has the horizontal seam at the back as well.

If $15 is all it's worth I'll be taking it back today to return it. I don't collect psone games and it cost me $15 cad so not much point of selling it or keeping it, considering especially the weakness of USD against CAD atm.

    But thanks Johnny.

You might want to have a go on it, though - people are paying ridiculous amounts on occasion for sealed LB games. My bud sold Battle Arena Toshinden sealed for 70 a few months ago on ebay.

Then again...as Johnny said, Viewpoint is one of the cheaper PSX games. Taking a look at ebay recently, there's a copy (disc + instructions) with no bites at 1 cent, and a disc-only didn't sell for 1.99 last week. I've been tracking PSX prices for 3 years now for the list Johnny mentioned, and I've never seen this game sell for anything. It's an easy buy for 2-4 bucks complete in the LB.

Yes, but a game's being sealed makes a huge difference with most collectors. Still, I can't see it going for much, and back it goes tomorrow.

Never ever, ever use ebay as a source for the value of anything, the price set on an item comes from frantic over bidding. I have seen auctions end with the winner paying more the item goes for new in the store, and this is with the current PS2 and Xbox games. Also the date the auction ends will make a big difference as well. a mint copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga went for 127.00 and the auction end was on a sunday and another mint copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga went for 267.00 on that monday after.
(Rare) is an over used word on ebay and I feel that if an item is over one page on ebay then its not rare, but if a an item has one page then it is rare. It is sad that at one time one could walk into a local game store and find a treasure and at a fair price but not anymore because now your local gamestore has an ebay page.
    I say keep the game!!!!

A local store has a copy of F-IIX Agile Warrior (or something), US Longbox. Think it's worth the 8 euros? Its not sealed.

eBay is the only resourcem despite what many people seem to think. Truth be told, many shops base their prices off of what eBay runs (for older games). Saying eBay is not reliable is utter bullshit. You will get a feel for what an item is worth if you moniter it over say a 1 month period. There will be freak auctions that go for much more or much less, but is that any different than walking into some little mom 'n pop shop, and finding a mint copy of Radiant Silvergun there for $5? Not really.
