    Hi everyone,

    I'd like to call on those in the know to give me a realistic price point for the following items I'm considering putting up for sale:

    1. GameCube Promo Item
    Simple, flip-open design, featuring a Quicktime-encoded promo video reel of the Nintendo GameCube.

    2. PlayStation 1 - Tobal No. 1
    Great condition, including game disc, "Square's Preview" disc (inc. Final Fantasy VII demo), warranty and spine card.

    [IMG]

    3. PlayStation 1 - Strikers 1945
    Contains game disc and instruction manual only.

    [IMG]

    4. Wii - The Last Story
    Japanese version, signed by Hironobu Sakaguchi. Perfect condition, including outer slipcase.

    5. PlayStation 3 - Metal Gear Solid 4
    Japanese standard edition, signed by Hideo Kojima.

    [IMG]

    6. Nintendo of Europe J-RPG Commemorative Coin Set
    Set of three coins to accompany the localised releases of Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. One of the coin containers is slightly damaged as pictured in the close-up shot.

    7. DECR-1010E Reference Tool Controller
    Unexpectedly dug this out from amid a pile of random items. In good condition, though missing the USB connection cable and any form of packaging. I assume it functions like a normal PS3 controller, but I've not had the chance to test it out yet (I've got a PS3 Test unit here too, so will see if it work with that as well as my retail machine.)

    Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

    I know about the first 2 things you've got, and nothing about the rest.

    1) This was a freebie given out in North America before the Cube was released. It was tossed in magazines (probably Nintendo Power) and IIRC you could find boxes where could take one for free at any retailer selling Nintendo products. So they're super common, I think I have 5 of em kicking around. The most you can ask for it is a couple bucks.

    2) Tobal is one of the most common/worthless Japanese Square PS1 games, it oversold a boatload of copies for that Final Fantasy 7 demo. I bought it some years ago for $5 on eBay, and checking now, it's gone down in value. The most recent sales have been for $2 and $3. Of course shipping is on top of that, but still, pretty worthless. You're almost better off suckering noobs on eBay by discarding the complete game, and selling the Final Fantasy disc alone (like people selling the Metal Gear Solid Pilot Disc keep doing). I don't approve of splitting games up, and throwing things out... But you could ask $50 and maybe get a stupid buyer, if your morals allow.

    @floodmenow

    Thanks for the frank feedback. Admittedly, I've been doing some checking around myself in the meantime, and your comments on the Tobal No. 1 game seem to be right on the mark. Guess I'd never seen that many around, so when I dug this one out of a box I just figured it might have some sort of collector's value to it. Oh well, good to know nonetheless. As for the GameCube item, seeing as I'm from Europe, I suppose it might be a little rarer here than where you are, but if I post them for sale, I'll try to keep the prices reasonable.

    Now, can anyone help with pricing ideas for the other items?

    Finally got round to adding a photo of item #5 (signed Metal Gear Solid 4), and also threw in a new item I'm considering parting with.

    Added one more item I'm keen on pricing up - a PS3 Reference Tool Controller.

    The problem is the signed items have no proof with them, so value....

    The tool controller, $60.

    @ASSEMbler,

    I might still have some pictures of me with Sakaguchi and Kojima, but I'm afraid I didn't take any at the point the items were signed so I doubt I could completely satisfy the requirement to prove they're genuine. As a result, if this means they're not sale-able here, I'll withdraw them from the list. Sorry about that.
