PRICE DROP DOT VIRTUAL ALAN-CD-I DEV KIT - REDUCED

    PRICE DROP DOT VIRTUAL ALAN

I did a poll a while ago and out of those who polled (12)…scores were..

    10 YES
    2 NO

    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=40

    So here goes,

This is the remainder of my friend's collection, or part of it. (As you may remember)

Prices are quoted in £ - Pounds sterling

Payment to my friend's paypal account in £ - Pounds sterling.

When he confirms payment has been received, I will arrange for postage by the cheapest means possible (unless any other means is requested). The postage charge, will be rounded up to a fair amount, to cover packing, sellotape, shoe leather etc. This will be then sent to my Paypal account, once the item has been posted. I will keep a receipt as proof of postage until the buyer has confirmed the receipt of the item(s).

I will start each item at a price. This will be reduced after a time that will be at random. No Private Messages will be accepted as a request for purchase. I will edit the sale item to show the original price and the new price. These may be at set amounts or at different amounts, as I feel free to chose.

The winner, buyer is the first person who posts a reply to the item

"I WILL PURCHASE THIS ITEM AT THE LOWEST PRICE QUOTED ABOVE"

This person is then the buyer. Otherwise Private Messages will be become confusing and this way it should be fairer. I am aware there are potential buyers around the world, but I will reduce the items at various times throughout the day and evening (UK time) so most people should have a reasonable chance.

I will only add another item from the lot when the previous one has been sold, paid for, delivered & received.

    So here goes!

Philips CD-I Dev Kit PC- with manuals

As this is very very heavy this would best be a UK only buyer and best be a South of the country and better still....London or home counties.

Which means someone may get a bargain!

My situation hasn't improved, so I can't see myself affording this for a long time now :( Still, I wish whoever goes for it the best of luck ;)

To be honest I would "shit" myself at the postage for this lot to Germany.

I 9.5kg package sent (64dd stuff) recently was £90....this lot has got to be heavier
with the manuals as well :-(

No one here (uk) that would take it for you and could mail later or if you make a visit?

hehe at the gavrocheaccident i checked a little and a planeticket to london or so cost i think 50-90 euros but i dont think i can get this unit out of the country as handluggage =)

and right now iam already bussy with my 3do m2 dev (which came in a big box check the stuff you recently bought thread =) and i wait for the complete ps2 dev manuals which arent much lighter like those binders here )

but cdi tech isnt so tempting like a 3do m2 of course would be fun but you know too much work =(

Ehh, what are you exactly selling? What I see in the pictures is not a dev kit, but an E1 or E2 emulator. The emulator basically is a big (for the time) scsi disk with some extra stuff built in (it IS a computer, but not a CD-i player). You can put an image of a CD-i title on the emulator and the extra stuff will make it play back exactly the same as a real CD-i would (the data would stream like a 1-speed cd-rom drive). To use this you'll need a development player, the cdi605 and it will probably also work on a cdi180. Since the cdi605 also has a scsi port, you don't need this emulator at all to do development. It's just usefull to test how your program will behave on a normal cd-i player, without burning a cd-r (those were still pretty expensive in the days CD-i was current).
