I know it doesn't go for "much", but I had a mint copy of this title that I sold a few years back. I quit collecting, but I want to know how "rare" this title really is?
$10 really? Digital Press Online shows it as being a rare item (scores a 7 out of 10 for rarity). I have one too and am curious about the print run as well if anyone knows.
Limited Edition Sonic The Sonic Adventure Limited Edition was the pre-release version of Sonic Adventure that was released only to Hollywood Video stores in the United States pre-DC launch. I don't have the exact numbers handy, but I do know that it was certainly not a huge run as the discs were produced to match the limited run of rental Dreamcasts and only went to HV stores. When the pre-release rental program was over both the discs and the systems were to be returned to Sega. The Sonic Adventure Limited Edition discs were never officially sold to the public. If anyone ever offered me $10 for my autographed copy I'd laugh in their face. Now the standard release of Sonic Adventure? Shit, that's common as hell.
I think people are getting confused between this pack and the Sonic Birthday pack with Sonic Adventure 2 http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=33&products_id=1275&
I'm referring to the one that hl718 mentioned. I got my copy for free, found it hidden away at a GameStop that I work at. Even if it's not worth anything, still a neat piece to have methinks.
actually i've seen them go for : just disc: 20-70 bucks one complete (manual/box) over 100 (recently on ebay) luckily, I found one, just disc at GameCrazy for 4 bucks. The guy didnt even know what it was. Cool though
Sonic Adventure Limited Edition This version can be identified by the part number: SDC-51014. The retail release of Sonic Adventure is part 51000. The phrase "Limited Edition" is on the manual and disc, which otherwise looks very similar to the retail release. The back of the LE case is missing the Jump Pack and Modem compatibility icons as well as much of the legal text (no patents are listed). The CDI ADX, MPEG Sofdec and QSound logos are also missing. UPC for the LE is 10086 51014 UPC for the retail is 10086 51000 If you run across an LE you will know it. They're very plainly labeled. -hl718
Depends. If it's disc only, it can run you 10-20 bucks (Less if it has the Hollywood Video label on it). If it's the case and disc, 40-70 (Less if it is in lesser condition or has the Hollywood Video label on it). I personally have two of them (Single disc with hollywood label on it, and complete in mint condition)
Apologies to www.dreamcasthistory.com for hotlinking - great site though! I am surprised at those who wanted a pic - you should be checking there first, guys ;-) hehe
Mint, people may pay a lot for it. They are very difficult to find with manual and case (i.e. complete), but even moreso with all articles in mint condition. For a mint one, I could see a hardcore collector shelling out $100. Regular old complete, I'd say around $50.
