I'm wondering what the best way is to print one as well. Since the sticker curves, it might be a little difficult to just bust out a ruler but you might be able to use a measuring tape for clothing to get around the curve for the top to front of the sticker and using the metric scale (which is simple since you are in a country that uses the metric system) would make things simpler. What I'm wondering is if people are just using a laser color printer with glossy finish sticker paper. I think this would work pretty good. However a phaser printer would work best. I'm guessing that people are possibly using bubblejet printers though.
You can always "roll" a ruler along the curve if you don't have a flexible measuring tape. As long as it doesn't slide, you'll get a correct measurement I would just use whatever method available to me that gave me the best quality print, and then fix the print and reinforce the label by spraying it with transparent lacquer varnish before attaching it to the cart. Top coat for cars would probably work well. Even though I don't think the solvents in that kind of varnish will solve printer ink (which I believe is water soluble), I'd do the varnishing in thin layers, not all at once, to avoid eventual color bleed. Anyways, it's not like it's expensive to experiment around a bit with. Just print a few copies and find the method that works best
I used a standard ruler to measure the labels on pal snes carts to get the label dimensions, as for the printing I used a HP colour laserjet, I did try the auto lacquer but it caused the colours to run and dissolve (especially cyan and yellow), in the end I used clear wide celotape to laminate the print for a shiny finish and fixed the label with double sided tape, I trimmed the labels with a rotary guillotine and used a credit card to mark and trim the corners with scissors for the rounded edges.
