I got a problem. I can log on, but can't access my Profile or my name. I wanted to have a Sega-16 account because they are an expert on Sega hardware. I get something like this. It says Steven Goodwin, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. This isn't fair. How come Assembler doesn't do this? I tried activating my acount and it didn't do shit!! If you can ask me on conversation here. Please do, Thank you.
Well, I tried and it doesn't work. THis is not fucking fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why does Asslember let you post without activating but Sega 16 needs activated!!
That is the default vBulletin shit when you've made a new account and it's not verified or you don't have permissions to access something. They may need you to follow steps before the perms are granted.
They have user activation deactivated by default. You have to actually contact staff (by pm, for example) to activate your account. This is their way of combatting spam. They have an 11 page thread about this "issue": http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?29659-New-User-can-t-access-the-forum/page11 Read the thread and look for mods / admins, choose a staffer and pm them. That's how you get your account activated.
Would signing in to vBulletin help? And i didn't get any notifications on Sega 16. I'm still throwing a damn fit.
